Bayer Leverkusen have set sights on securing the services of Franco-Ivorian defender Loïc Badé in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old centre-back impressed in the recently concluded campaign for Spanish outfit FC Sevilla, making 33 appearances across competitions, scoring one goal and delivering an assists in the process.
Bade has caught the attention of several clubs in Bayer Leverkusen, who are keen to snap up his services for the upcoming window.
The highly-rated Franco-Ivorian is one of the two centre-backs targeted by the Bundesliga outfit this summer and are making effort to secure his signature.
Badé is reportedly appreciated internally by the Leverkusen hierarchy, who are looking to replace Jonathan Tah after the German joined Bayern Munich earlier in the window.
He was previously chased by Premier League side Aston Villa in the January transfer window, with Sevilla turning down a €25m bid from the English side earlier this year.
The Frenchman started for Didier Deschamps’ side against Germany last weekend, as Les Bleus clinched third place in the UEFA Nations League following a 2-0 win. This comes a year after the Sevilla defender featured for Thierry Henry’s France Olympic side during Paris 2024, reaching the final against Spain.
