France international of Guinean descent Paul Pogba is gearing up for his return to football after several months’ absence.
The former Manchester United and Juventus star was freed to return to the field in March 2025 after serving an 18-months ban for testing positive for doping.
Paul was initially handed a four-year hefty ban before it was reduced to 18-months following a successful appeal.
After termination his contract with Juventus, Pogba has found a new home signing a two-year deal with the French Ligue 1 giants.
As he builds his fitness for the new season, Pogba has stepped up his training after joining Monaco teammates for the very first time on Thursday morning.
However, he won’t be fit for the start of the season. As revealed by Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro during the player’s presentation, there is a three-month plan to build back his fitness. That puts Pogba’s return date at around the start of October.
