France international of Guinean descent Paul Pogba is expected to seal a move to giants AS Monaco on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
The former Manchester United and Juventus star, who is joining Monaco as a free agent will sign a two-year deal with Les Monégasques. Despite interest from Al Ittihad, opted for a move to his homeland over a move to Saudi Arabia.
The midfielder saw his contract with Juventus terminated in November 2024 after his ban was prematurely lifted.
He was issued a 4-year doping ban after testing positive for a banned substance. However, on appeal, the ban was reduced to 18 months. The midfielder has been training alone in Miami whilst waiting to sign for his new club.
Pogba will play in the Ligue 1 for the first time in his career, after spending most of his professional career with Juventus and Manchester United.
The Le Havre Academy product hasn’t featured in a professional game since September 2023.
Monaco concluded the past Ligue 1 campaign in third place, thus sealing their qualification for the Champions League. With his wealth of experience, the midfielder can contribute significantly for the club next season.
