France international of Guinean descent Paul Pogba is open to securing a move to the French Ligue 1 as he is set for a return to action after a long absence.
Pogba, a member of the France squad that won the 2018 World Cup in Russia has been cleared to return to the pitch after completing his doping ban suspension last month.
The former Manchester United star ban was reduced from four years to just 18-months after appeal. Meanwhile, Pogba will have to find himself a new club after terminating contract with Juventus after the reduction of his ban.
According to reports, the French league is one of several destinations that the former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder is considering.
Pogba would also be open to clubs in the Bundesliga, La Liga, and Serie A, while the MLS and the Saudi Pro League are also thought to be options for the Frenchman. The Premier League, where Pogba made his professional debut, is conspicuously absent from that list.
Despite being born in France and developing in the youth academies of Roissy-en-Brie, US Torcy, and Le Havre AC, Pogba has never an appearance in the French league, as he was picked up as a sixteen-year-old by Manchester United, where he finished his youth training.
