Franco-Burkinabe midfielder Lohann Doucet is poised to join USL Dunkerque on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, after limited playing time at Paris FC.
The 23-year-old, primarily deployed as a defensive midfielder, has seen sporadic appearances in Ligue 2 this season.
According to Le Parisien, the deal between Paris FC and Dunkerque is close to being finalised and will not include an option to buy.
Doucet reportedly had other options this winter, with Montpellier and Red Star among the clubs interested in securing his services.
However, he has chosen Dunkerque, who currently sit fourth in the Ligue 2 BKT table, citing the club’s sporting project and immediate playing opportunities as key factors in his decision.
Under contract with Paris FC until June 2027, Doucet is valued at approximately €600,000 on Transfermarkt.
The move represents a chance for the young midfielder to gain regular first-team football and continue his development, while helping Dunkerque push for a top-of-the-table finish.
This loan also aligns with Paris FC’s strategy of allowing promising squad members more playing time elsewhere, especially those struggling to break into a competitive first team.
For Doucet, the temporary switch provides an opportunity to showcase his abilities and potentially earn a more prominent role upon his return or attract permanent interest from other clubs in France’s second tier.
The transfer is expected to be formally announced in the coming days, with both clubs keen to complete the deal before the mid-season window closes.
