Franck Teyou: Italy-Cameroon midfielder joins Real Forio on free transfer from Palmese

Italy-Cameroon midfielder Franck Teyou has joined Real Forio on a free transfer from Serie D rivals Palmese. The 24-year-old central midfielder has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027 with the Serie D H side.

Teyou switches groups within Italys fourth tier after most recently featuring in Serie D G with Palmese. His move strengthens Real Forios options in the middle of the pitch, with the right-footed midfielder bringing several seasons of Serie D experience and a current market value of 100,000.

Born in Douala in 2002, Teyou holds both Italian and Cameroonian nationality and stands at 1.76m. Operating primarily as a central midfielder, he has accumulated more than 100 appearances across youth and senior competitions, including Serie D and Primavera football, contributing goals and assists at each stage of his career.

Before arriving at Palmese in October 2025, Teyou spent spells with Ugento, Matera and Portici, all in the Italian lower leagues. His earlier development included time with Cosenza and a loan to Castrovillari, following his progression through the youth system at SPAL, where he moved up from the Under-17s to the Under-19s.

Teyous deal at Real Forio is in place for the 2026-27 campaign, with the club securing his registration on a permanent basis after his departure from Palmese as a free agent.
