Franck Ribery has received another individual accolade before the Ballon d’Or verdict on January 13, 2014. He has been named Bundesliga Player of the Year 2013, adding to his UEFA Best Player of the Year 2013 award. Ribery secured the Bundesliga honor with 29 votes, surpassing Robert Lewandowski and Marco Reus. Currently with Bayern Munich in Morocco for the Club World Cup, Ribery expressed his desire to win this trophy to enhance his chances for the Ballon d’Or. After a convincing 5-0 victory over Guangzhou Evergrande, Bayern is set to face the winner of the second semi-final between Raja Casablanca and Atletico Mineiro in the final. Ribery is in contention with Messi and Ronaldo for the prestigious individual award.
