Franck Kessie believes Al Ahli Jeddah’s spirit of resilience will inspire them in tomorrow’s Intercontinental Cup clash with Egypt’s Pyramids FC.

The Ivorian midfielder, who has quickly become a leader in the Saudi side, says the team is ready for the quarterfinal battle that could shape their path in the tournament.

Kessie pointed to recent performances as proof of Al Ahli’s determination.

“The comeback gives us extra motivation against Pyramids,” he said, reflecting on how the club overturned setbacks in style.

He stressed that the squad is united and fully focused.

“We will enter the match with all our strength, and our goal is to win in order to qualify and make our fans happy.”

Supporters are expected to pack the stands in Jeddah, a factor Kessie believes will give Al Ahli an extra edge.

“The fans are with us and their energy drives us forward,” he added.

Al Ahli’s fightback ability has already been tested. They turned a 0-2 deficit into a 4-2 win against Nasaf and later clawed back from 0-3 to draw 3-3 with Al Hilal.
