Franck Etouga: Cameroon striker joins CR Belouizdad on free transfer from USM Khenchela
Cameroon forward Franck Etouga has joined Algerian champions CR Belouizdad on a free transfer from league rivals USM Khenchela.
The 24-year-old centre-forward has signed a contract with Belouizdad until 30 June 2029 after his deal with Khenchela came to an end. He arrives with a reported market value of 450,000 and will continue his career in Algerias top flight, where both clubs compete in Ligue 1.
Etouga moves after one season at USM Khenchela, having joined them in July 2025, also as a free agent. Before that, he spent time in Egyptian football with El Masry and Harras Hodoud, including loan spells at Spartanii and El Gouna as he built experience across different competitions.
A right-footed striker standing 1.80m tall, Etouga has previously shown his scoring touch with standout spells earlier in his career. Across league campaigns, he has produced double figures in goals in top-flight football, including a season with 21 goals in 30 appearances in a Premier League campaign and a further nine goals in 29 matches in a Ligue 1 season elsewhere.
The Yaounde-born attacker first came to wider attention at Asante Kotoko in Ghana, where he won the Ghanaian Premier League title in 2021-22 after joining from Fortuna du Mfou in his homeland. That success led to his move to North Africa and a succession of opportunities in Egypt and Algeria.
Etougas switch from USM Khenchela to CR Belouizdad is a permanent free transfer, tying him to the club for three years.
