Francesco Anacoura: Italy-Seychelles goalkeeper joins Renate from Ravenna in Serie C switch

Italy-Seychelles goalkeeper Francesco Joyce Anacoura has joined Renate from Ravenna, making the move within Serie C after a year with the Emilia-Romagna club.

The 31-year-old, born in Milan and standing at 1.90m, leaves Ravenna to link up with Renate in Girone A as part of their goalkeeping reshuffle for the new campaign. The deal comes with Anacoura currently valued at around 200,000.

Anacoura arrived at Ravenna in July 2025 following a free transfer from Giugliano, and now continues his career in the third tier with another northern Italian side. His switch keeps him in a division he knows well after several seasons across the Italian lower leagues and a spell in Portugal earlier in his career.

A right-footed goalkeeper, Anacoura has built up extensive experience since emerging from the youth ranks at Parma. His early senior years featured a series of loans across Cuneo, Pro Vercelli, Pontedera and Rimini, followed by a permanent move to Parma and later a spell on the books of Juventus that included further loans to Casertana and Ancona.

After leaving Italy, he spent time with Cova Piedade and Maritimos youth and B teams, and then Estrela Amadora, before returning home. A move back to Italy with Sestri Levante in 2022 proved significant, as he helped the club secure the Scudetto Serie D title in 2023.

Anacoura now embarks on the next chapter of his career with Renate after completing his transfer from Ravenna.
