Two French football supporters have received prison sentences, while four others have been given suspended imprisonment following incidents that occurred before the Nice-Saint-Étienne match a month ago. The public prosecutor demanded a five-month prison term, a two-year stadium ban, and a 750-euro fine for each of the supporters from Saint-Étienne and Nice. The supporters appeared before the Nice criminal court, and the sentences were part of the final decision from the French public prosecutor.
Additionally, the prosecutor sought suspended prison sentences ranging from 4 to 6 months for four other Saint-Étienne supporters. These sentences come with stadium bans of one year to 18 months, community service totaling 170 hours, and a fine of 750 euros for each supporter. The four supporters were appearing free but were placed under strict judicial control.
