Fanni believes he deserves his place in the national team, emphasizing that he doesn’t consider himself a temporary replacement. While acknowledging that recent call-ups have often come as a result of withdrawals or injuries, Fanni asserts that his inclusion is based on his consistent performances at the club level. He expresses confidence in his abilities and ambitions, stating, “I know that I haven’t stolen anything. I come with a lot of ambitions because I have things to assert.”
This is not the first time Fanni has been called up as a late addition; he was also co-opted at the last minute in March against Spain and Georgia when Mathieu Debuchy was unavailable.
