Paris Saint-Germain’s quest for their second consecutive French championship title has been delayed following a draw against Sochaux (1-1) on Sunday afternoon in the 35th round of Ligue 1.
Edinson Cavani opened the scoring for PSG in the 24th minute, giving them the lead in the first half. However, Sochaux managed to equalize shortly before the hour mark, with an own goal from Thiago Silva in the 56th minute.
Despite the draw, PSG remains at the top of the league table with 83 points, eight points ahead of AS Monaco. With three more matches remaining and nine points up for grabs, PSG’s title celebration will have to wait for another opportunity.
