Angers Name Unchanged Squad for Clash with Nantes, Nsamé Replaces Sissoko
By BBC Sport
After a confident 2-0 victory over Montpellier on the opening day of the Ligue 1 season, SCO Angers are aiming to continue their strong start as they host FC Nantes this weekend. Head coach Stéphane Moulin has named a largely unchanged squad for the second round of the French top flight.
The only alteration from last weekend’s lineup is the inclusion of forward Jean-Pierre Nsamé, who replaces Slimane Sissoko in the attacking group. Meanwhile, midfielders Razza Camara and Ismaël Traoré, both key components in Moulin’s system, retain their places in the squad.
Angers impressed on their return to Ligue 1, showing discipline at the back and efficiency in front of goal. The side will now be tested by a Nantes team looking to recover after a disappointing start to their campaign.
SCO Angers squad to face Nantes:
Goalkeepers: Ludovic Butelle, Alexandre Letellier
Defenders: Yoann Andreu, Vincent Manceau, Gaël Angoula, Romain Thomas, Ismaël Traoré
Midfielders: Olivier Auriac, Razza Camara, Pierrick Capelle, Charles Diers, Thomas Mangani, Cheikh Ndoye, Romain Saïss
Forwards: Fodé Doré, Billy Ketkéophomphone, Jean-Pierre Nsamé, Gilles Sunu
With consistency in team selection and growing confidence from their opening win, Angers will hope to make the most of home advantage at the Stade Jean-Bouin. A second consecutive victory would be a significant early boost for the newly promoted club as they look to establish themselves in the top flight.
