Coupe de la Ligue: Marseille Faces Rennes as Round of 16 Action Heats Up
Marseille travel to Rennes tonight in the final fixture of the Coupe de la Ligue round of 16, aiming to bounce back just three days after suffering a defeat that ended their eight-match unbeaten streak. Marcelo Bielsa’s men are eager to regain momentum in the domestic cup.
The round began yesterday with eight matches, producing surprises and dominant wins alike. Bordeaux won the Ligue 1 derby by overcoming Toulouse 3–1, with a key goal from Malian striker Cheick Diabaté.
