Faouzi Ghoulam, the young left-back from AS Saint-Étienne in the French Ligue 1, has reportedly agreed to join the Algerian football team. According to various sources, Ghoulam has given his initial agreement to the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) to officially represent the Algerian national team.
The FAF is now awaiting a signed letter of commitment from Ghoulam to initiate administrative procedures with FIFA for the completion of his qualification file. Vahid Halilhodzic, the coach of the Algerian national team, is expected to visit Saint-Étienne during his European tour to finalize the details with Ghoulam.
