**Djibril Cissé Vows to Keep Playing Despite Hip Injury**
Former Auxerre striker Djibril Cissé has insisted that his football career is not over, despite recent struggles with a persistent hip injury that cut short his stint on Reunion Island.
Speaking to *Sport 24*, Cissé revealed he is scheduled to undergo surgery in January but remains hopeful about making a return to the pitch. “Football isn’t over for me,” he said. “I’m going to have an operation in January and, with God’s help, we’ll see if I can come back or not.”
Cissé also clarified reports about his retirement, stating: “I haven’t announced my retirement; people announced my retirement. You can return to sport (with a hip replacement), but at what level… We’ll see once I’ve had surgery.”
The former French international remains determined to continue his career despite the uncertainty surrounding his recovery and future playing level.
