The tension between France’s national team coach, Didier Deschamps, and Samir Nasri’s girlfriend, Anara Atanes, has escalated following her public outburst on social media regarding Nasri’s exclusion from the World Cup squad. In response to her comments, Deschamps has filed a complaint against her for public insult, with the backing of the French Football Federation.
Deschamps’ lawyer, Me. Brusa, described Atanes’ remarks as “insulting and unacceptable,” emphasizing that they undermined both the dignity of the individual and the role of the coach.
Despite Atanes’ subsequent apology on Twitter, expressing regret for her comments, the legal action against her is proceeding.
