Central African defender Eloge Enza Yamissi, who plays for Troyes in the French Ligue 1, is facing potential surgery due to a strained hamstring. The medical team at Troyes believes that a blood pocket has formed above the player’s left quadriceps muscle, requiring further evaluation and likely surgery.
As a consequence of this injury, the 29-year-old Yamissi has not been included in the list of 23 players called up by the coach of the Central African Republic, Hervé Loungoundji, for the upcoming CAN 2013 qualifiers against Burkina Faso. In the first leg, the Central African Republic secured a 1-0 victory over Burkina Faso.
