Alain Giresse has expressed interest in the position of coach for the Senegal national football team, the Teranga Lions. The former coach of Gabon mentioned his desire to take on this challenge during an appearance on the Canal+ channel. Giresse, known for his history as both a player and manager, has a passion for the game. The Senegalese consultant Pape Diouf has acknowledged that Giresse is a candidate with a strong football background. Unemployed since his departure from coaching Mali after CAN 2012, Giresse is open to the opportunity to lead Senegal. The position became vacant after the dismissal of Joseph Koto following Senegal’s failure to qualify for CAN 2013.
