On loan to Rennes since the last summer transfer window, Foued Kadir still closely follows Marseille’s progress. The Algerian international recently shared his thoughts on Marseille’s challenging season in an interview with the sports daily Le Buteur.
“In Marseille, there’s always immense pressure… at the slightest sign of trouble or a couple of negative results, the atmosphere becomes tense. It’s a club where expectations are sky-high. Now, they need to gel as a team because they’ve brought in new players with the aim of having a successful season, and there are some promising youngsters too. I hope they finish the season on a high note,” Kadir remarked.
It’s worth noting that Kadir’s loan deal with Rennes includes a purchase option reported to be around 1.25 million euros. If exercised, a two-year contract is reportedly already in place for the Algerian winger at the Breton club.
