Portuguese coach Nelo Vingade has bemoaned the absence of Al Ahly duo Ahmed Mostafa Mohamed Sayed Zizo and Imam Ashour ahead of their Premier League clash against Zamalek.

Vingade is no stranger to African football, having managed a couple of team including Zamalek and Wydad Casablanca.

In a high-stake clash on Monday, Al Ahly will lock horns with their sworn-rivals at the Cairo International Stadium, with both teams yearning for the three maximum points.

Ahead of the match, the former Zamalek tactician insists Al Ahly will suffer in the game due to the unavailability of the influential duo.

“Of course, Al Ahly wouldn’t be as strong without these players. I like Imam Ashour’s style of play, and his absence will be significant. Zizo’s absence will also be significant in his first match against his former club, Zamalek”

“I repeat, Al-Ahly will suffer due to the absence of its most important player at the moment, Imam Ashour” he said.

Zamalek currently sit top of the Egyptian Premier League standings with 17 points, while Al Ahly occupies 8th position with 12 points after seven matches.
