Former Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu FC defender Wayde Jooste has emerged as a top transfer target for South African outfit Siwelele FC.

The 34-year-old right-back is currently unattached after ending his spell with Usuthu at the end of last season.

Wayde Jooste is now set to return to Bloemfontein, with Siwelele FC in line to secure his signature to bolster their defense.

The experienced defender, born in Gqeberha-born has become an option for coach Lehlohonolo Seema after the club lost out on signing Kegan Johannes on transfer deadline day.

Jooste is set to become the second former Pirates player to sign for Siwelele, following Zakhele Lepasa’s move last month. He has featured for AmaZulu FC and is currently set for a new challenge at Siwelele FC.

The enterprising defender is no stranger to South African football and could be a great addition to their squad for the 2025/26 campaign.

Since making his debut for South Africa this year, the defender has racked up four appearances for the Bafana Bafana.
