South African giants Orlando Pirates have successfully secured the services of former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sifiso Mbule in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Soweto outfit are in the market searching for quality players to solidify their team for the new campaign following a trophyless run last term.
Sifiso Mbule joins Orlando Pirates as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with fellow South African club. The 27-year-old signed a one-season deal with an option to extend for a further two years.
He became a free agent after Mamelodi Sundowns opted not to activate the extension clause in his contract. He had been with Sundowns since 2022, following his transfer from SuperSport United. Last season, he was loaned out to Sekhukhune United, where he made 17 appearances, netting 2 goals and providing 3 assists.
Mbule now joins the list of new signings brought in by the Buccaneers ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. The squad has also been bolstered by Yanela Mbutuma, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Tsepang Moremi, Tsepo Masiloane, Masindi Nematjela, Nkosikhona Ndaba, and Sihle Nduli.
Under new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, the team will head to Spain for their pre-season training camp.
