Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Hilton Jordaan tips Orlando Pirates to win South African league title

Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Hilton Jordaan has thrown his weight behind Orlando Pirates to annex the 2025/26 South Africa Premier League title.

The Sea Robbers has been impressive since the commencement of the campaign, sinning a staggering 11 time, losing two and drawing one across competitions.

With 15 points, the Soweto giants find themselves in the third position on the league log but are three matches behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

However, the former Jomo Cosmos and Mamelodi Sundowns star has named Orlando Pirates as favourites to win the Premier League title.

Quizzed about the favourites to win the league title, he replied, “Orlando Pirates,” he told KickOff. “They are settled, and they’ve got a nice bunch of players. It looks like there’s very good camaraderie in there.”

Orlando Pirates are gearing up for the crucial CAF Champions League second preliminary round fixture against Saint-Eloi Lupopo.

The Soweto giants will be hoping to triumph over their opponent to book a place in the group stage of the competition this season.
