Former President of Olympique Lyon, Jean-Michel Aulas, has praised French-Algerian midfielder Rayan Cherki, comparing him to Argentine great, Lionel Messi.
Rayan Cherki this season has starred for Olympique Lyon not only in the French Ligue 1 but in the Europa League as well.
He has scored 12 goals and assisted 18 goals for his team in all competitions after making 40 appearances for the side.
Speaking on Cherki’s impressive performances this season, former Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas said, “Rayan has a talent comparable to (Lionel) Messi in terms of technique.
Courtesy of his outstanding performances, Cherki has been link with a move to several European top clubs including Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United.
It is reported that Lyon are ready to let him go and believes he is ready to make the next step in his career.
It is up to Manchester United and the other interested clubs to reach an agreement with Lyon in the summer transfer window to make Cherki’s signing possible.
