Former football stars Emerse Faé and Alou Diarra among eleven coaches selected for prestigious certification
The French Football Federation (FFF) has announced the names of eleven individuals chosen to undertake the Professional Football Coach’s Certificate (BEPF), a crucial qualification required for coaching in the top tiers of French football, including Ligue 1 and Ligue 2.
Among the notable figures included in the selection is Emerse Faé, the coach of the Côte d’Ivoire national team, which clinched the African Cup of Nations title in February.
Faé’s experience and leadership on the international stage bring a wealth of knowledge to the coaching cohort.
Another prominent name on the list is former French international Alou Diarra. Diarra, who previously served as an assistant to Franck Haise at Lens and later assumed the role of interim coach at Troyes, brings a blend of playing experience and coaching acumen to the table.
Jacques Abardonado, associated with Olympique de Marseille, also features in the distinguished group.
Abardonado stepped in as part of the coaching staff at Marseille following Marcelino’s departure in September, showcasing his capabilities in a high-pressure environment.
Ahmed Kantari, who played a pivotal role in Valenciennes’ journey to the semi-finals of the Coupe de France this season, has earned recognition for his coaching potential with his inclusion in the selection.
