Sayed Moawad, a former Al Ahly and Egypt national team left-back, has shared his deep concern over Ahmed Fatouh’s recent troubles at Zamalek, suggesting the young defender is failing to value his God-given gifts.
Fatouh, who was recently fined one million Egyptian pounds and referred for investigation by Zamalek SC, reportedly left the team’s training camp claiming to visit a sick relative. Instead, he was spotted at a concert with Al Ahly’s Imam Ashour, sparking outrage within the club.
Moawad, speaking in a televised interview, expressed disappointment over Fatouh’s choices and current path.
“Ahmed Fatouh is in a big problem, and my crisis with him isn’t personal, but I’m surprised by his thinking. God has given him many blessings that he must preserve, but unfortunately he is determined to slander,” he said.
He also recalled Fatouh’s past legal issues and questioned his consistency and presence on the pitch, urging the defender to reflect on his life and choices moving forward.
Moawad’s comments have stirred conversation across Egyptian football circles.
