Former Al Ahly goalkeeper’s Michel Iannacone coach demands unpaid $300,000 wages
Former Al Ahly goalkeeping coach, Michel Iannacone, is pressing the Egyptian club to settle unpaid wages reportedly totalling around $300,000.
The amount relates to his tenure with the team’s technical staff.
According to sources close to the Belgian coach, Iannacone has issued an official notice to Al Ahly’s management, setting a final deadline for payment before pursuing legal action.
Should the matter remain unresolved, he plans to file a formal complaint with FIFA, which could trigger sanctions or other measures against the club.
Iannacone recently departed Al Ahly’s coaching staff after contributing to multiple domestic and continental title wins.
His exit follows tensions over delayed salary payments.
Al Ahly is next in action against Smouha on Monday, February 23, at 9:30 PM Cairo time, at Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria, in the 19th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
