Mamelodi Sundowns have clinched the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) championship title with a resounding 3-0 victory over SuperSport United. With one match remaining in the season, the Brazilians have secured the title, sitting four points clear of second-placed Kaizer Chiefs, the double reigning champions.
This victory marks Mamelodi Sundowns’ first PSL championship title in seven years and their sixth overall in the club’s history. The win also ensures direct qualification for the African Champions League next season for Dove Wome, the Togolese midfielder, and his teammates. Wome joined the club last summer from Free State Stars.
Congratulations poured in for Mamelodi Sundowns, with the Official PSL Twitter account and the club’s official Twitter account celebrating the achievement.
