In the Senegal 1 Pro league, the previously undefeated clubs Port and AS Pikine both suffered defeats in the 9th round of matches.
Port, who had been leading the league alongside AS Pikine, was defeated by Olympique de Ngor with a lone goal scored in the 19th minute of the match. Despite their efforts, Port couldn’t find an equalizer.
Similarly, AS Pikine fell to Union Sportive de Ouakam (USO) by a score of 1-0, with the decisive goal coming in the 8th minute of play from Oumar Goudiaby. AS Pikine fought hard for the remaining 82 minutes but couldn’t overturn the deficit.
In other matches, Touré Kunda and Stade de Mbour played to a goalless draw, while Niarry Tally held Casa Sport de Ziguinchor to another draw, also without goals.
Saint-Louis, Linguère, and Etudiants du DUC shared the points in a 1-1 draw.
Two matches are yet to be played: Suneor vs. Diambars and Jaraaf vs. Yeggo.
Despite their defeats, Port and AS Pikine remain at the top of the league standings, holding a two-point lead over their closest competitors.
Fadel Fall from Port and Ibrahima Diop from Jaraaf continue to lead the goal-scoring charts with 5 and 4 goals respectively.
