The first phase of the Senegal Ligue 1 Pro national championship kicked off this Sunday with the 13th day of matches, witnessing Jaraaf of Dakar emerging as the sole victor among the top contenders. Their victory not only propelled them to the top of the league standings but also secured them the honorary title of first-leg champions.

Jaraaf de Dakar clinched their win against USO with a lone goal from Fidél Gomis in the 49th minute of play. This decisive goal not only secured their leadership position but also established them as the team with the best offensive record, having scored 16 goals while conceding only 6, making them the best defensive side as well.

The Port also faced a heavy defeat against Etudiants du DUC, succumbing to a 4-2 loss. Similarly, Diambars de Saly was defeated by Touré Kunda in the Petite Côte derby with a score of 1-0.

In Saint-Louis, La Linguère was held to a 1-1 draw by the bottom-placed Yeggo, while OL Ngor and Casa Sport also played out a 1-1 draw. The only goalless draw of the round occurred in the match between Stade de Mbour and NGB, ending in a 0-0 stalemate.
