The Ghanaian Football Federation conducted tests for referees to enable them to participate in major continental and world football events. However, the federation was surprised to discover that 50% of the documents submitted were false. As a result, nine referees were found to have provided false documents and have been sanctioned with a six-month ban from any football-related activity. The affected referees include Uriah Glah (Accra), Daniel Dorgbertor (Sunyani), Amofa Sarkodie (Obuasi), Augustine Akugure (Bolgatana), Alex Akugre (Tamale), Osman Ouadragou (Bolgatanga), Samuel Kyermeh Yeboah (Berekum), Prince Tawiah (Techiman), and Frederick Bediako (Accra).
