The European champion, Chelsea, will face the winner of the quarter-final between the Asian champion and Mexican club Monterrey. The other quarter-final will see the African representative face the winner of the play-off between Auckland City (NZL) and the Japanese champion. The winner of this quarter-final will meet Corinthians, the champions of South America, in the semi-final. The full schedule is as follows:
