Amidst the ongoing ethnic-religious conflict in the Central African Republic, athletes have been increasingly vocal about the dire situation. Enza-Yamissi, captain of the national team, has repeatedly raised concerns about the crisis. In an effort to promote peace and solidarity, a charity match has been scheduled for May 20.
The match will feature the Fauves de l’Oubangui, representing the Central African Republic, against a Brittany selection in Vannes. The Brittany team, often managed by Claude Leroy, will comprise several Ligue 1 players including Romain Danzé, Gaël Danic, and Etienne Didot, among others.
Titled “Central Africa Tomorrow,” this match aims to raise awareness and support for peace efforts in the Central African Republic amidst the ongoing turmoil.
