Souleymanou Aboubakar has been dismissed from his position as the coach of Canon Sportive de Yaoundé due to what is deemed as “bad results.” Taking his place is the Frenchman François-Xavier Nanga. Canon Sportive de Yaoundé, one of Cameroon’s prestigious football clubs, has struggled in recent times, and Aboubakar, who had previously coached the junior Lions, was unable to produce satisfactory results. The team currently stands 7th out of 14 in the standings, prompting the decision to bring in new leadership in the form of François-Xavier Nanga. The club’s leaders are hoping for improved performance under the new coach.
