The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has increased its financial assistance package to member associations as part of the “Contract with Africa” initiative. The aid package has been raised from $100,000 to $125,000. This program aims to support CAF member associations in implementing sustainable development projects, improving football infrastructure, and fostering overall development in African football.
The “Contract with Africa” initiative, launched in 2005, is currently in its third phase. The funds provided are carefully monitored by CAF, and recipient associations are required to submit comprehensive reports on the progress of the projects funded or proof of their completion.
For this phase, CAF places particular emphasis on projects related to sports infrastructure, allocating 45 points, and innovative projects, which receive 15 points. The initiative aims to encourage transparency and accountability in the use of funds and promote the overall development of African football.
