Kampala City Council Authority Football Club has secured their second consecutive championship title in Uganda. Their victory over Sports Club Villa with a scoreline of 3-1 sealed their triumph.
KCCA dominated the game early on, taking a 2-0 lead before halftime with goals from Uganda international Steven Bengo and defender Ronnie Kiseeka. Kiseeka, unfortunately, also contributed an own goal later in the match, but William Madri’s goal ensured KCCA’s victory with a final score of 3-1.
Finishing the season with 60 points from 30 matches, KCCA edged past their rivals who finished with 59 points.
With this championship win, KCCA has secured a spot in the Champions League for the next season. They now aim to achieve a double by competing in the final of the Uganda Cup against SC Victoria University.
