Ousmane Lato Compaoré has parted ways with AS Douanes and returned to Ouagadougou following a dispute with the club’s leadership. His contract was not renewed, leading to his departure. Assistant coach Albert Tritrikou will take charge of the team in their upcoming match against Agaza in the national first division football championship.
Compaoré took over as head coach of AS Douanes during the previous season and led the team to a second-place finish behind Ange FC. Under his leadership, the team also competed in the CAF Cup, facing Horoya AC and Wadi Degla.
With an A license and FIFA accreditation, Compaoré has extensive coaching experience, having previously served as a regional technical advisor for the Burkinabé Football Federation (FBF). He has coached various teams over the years, including AS Maya de Bobo-Dioulasso, ASFB, EFO, RCK, BPS, and Issia Wazi in Ivory Coast.
