After a decision was made within the Executive Office regarding the resumption date of the national first division football championship, members of the Togolese Football Federation convened with the 12 D1 clubs on Thursday at the federation’s headquarters.
The main agenda item was the start date of the elite division championship. While all club presidents agreed on the proposed date of May 3rd, the 3rd vice-president of Sémassi de Sokodé has called for preliminary meetings. It remains to be seen whether his concerns will be addressed, given that he stands alone against 11 other officials.

According to the FTF competition regulations, the opening match of the season typically features the champion club of the elite division against the top team from the second division. However, since the second division match has not been played in Togo, the opening match will instead feature the previous year’s champion team facing Maranatha from Fiokpo in Notsè.
