FKF confirms EACC visit in CHAN Insurance inquiry, reaffirms commitment to transparency

The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has confirmed that officers from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) visited its offices on Tuesday as part of ongoing investigations into alleged CHAN insurance-related issues.

In a statement dated 28 April 2026, FKF said it “duly engaged” with the investigators and reiterated its full cooperation with the process, stressing its commitment to transparency and accountability.

“The federation remains firmly committed to transparency, accountability, and cooperation with all relevant investigative and oversight bodies,” FKF said, adding that it is ready to support due process in line with established governance and legal frameworks.

FKF President Hussein Mohammed welcomed the EACC’s involvement, assuring that the federation will continue to cooperate fully with the probe.

“We welcome the involvement of the EACC and reaffirm our full cooperation with the process,” he said. “As a federation, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency. We are confident that the facts will come to light through a fair and thorough process, and we will continue to support all efforts aimed at safeguarding accountability within Kenyan football.”

The federation further noted that it will keep stakeholders informed as appropriate as investigations proceed.
