Fiorentina linked with Everton striker Beto in potential Serie A return

Portugal and Guinea-Bissau forward Beto is being linked with a move from Everton to Fiorentina, with the Italian club reportedly considering a deal for the 28-year-old.

Beto has a contract with Everton until 30 June 2027, meaning any transfer would require the clubs to agree a fee rather than wait for his deal to expire. His current market valuation is €18m.

The centre-forward joined Everton from Udinese on 29 August 2023 in a deal worth €25m. A move to Fiorentina would represent a return to Serie A, where Beto made 62 appearances for Udinese and scored 21 goals before moving to the Premier League.

He has recorded 20 goals in 97 Premier League appearances for Everton, with one assist, and has also scored four times in eight EFL Cup matches. Beto’s overall Premier League minutes-per-goal rate is 202 minutes.

Beto began his senior career in Portugal with Portimonense, having progressed through lower-league football before establishing himself in the Portuguese top flight. He later moved to Udinese, initially on loan, before making the transfer permanent in 2022.

The reported Fiorentina link comes with Beto still under contract at Everton and follows a spell in which he has remained part of the club’s attacking options. No transfer fee or probability has been established for the proposed move.
