Fiorentina explore Serie A move for Werder Bremen winger Justin Njinmah
German-Nigerian winger Justin Njinmah is the subject of a reported transfer link between Bundesliga club Werder Bremen and Serie A side Fiorentina.
The 25-year-old right winger has been with Werder’s senior set-up since January 2022 and returned to the club in June 2023 after a loan spell with Borussia Dortmund II. He has since established a record of 84 Bundesliga appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists.
Njinmah was born in Hamburg and is eligible to represent both Germany and Nigeria. He began his senior career with Holstein Kiel II before moving to Werder Bremen II on a free transfer in July 2021.
The potential move would take him from Germany’s top flight to Italy’s Serie A, with the rumour emerging on 18 August. Its reported probability is 47%, indicating that the switch remains at an early stage rather than being close to completion.
Njinmah’s current market value is listed at €5m, while his highest recorded valuation has been €9m. No transfer fee or agreement has been reported, and there is no confirmation that Fiorentina have made a formal offer for the player.
He remains a Werder Bremen player, with the club continuing to hold his registration as the speculation over a possible move to Fiorentina develops.
