Franz Beckenbauer is officially cleared! After being suspended by FIFA for 90 days due to his initial refusal to cooperate with the Ethics Committee investigating the 2018 and 2022 World Cup allocations, the Bayern Munich honorary president’s sanction has now been lifted.
His manager, Marcus Höfl, announced on Friday that FIFA removed the suspension after Beckenbauer eventually responded to the committee’s inquiries last week.
