In the wake of the CAN 2013, the latest FIFA ranking for the month was unveiled this Thursday. Togo, having secured a historic qualification for the quarter-finals of the CAN, witnessed a notable ascent by climbing 10 places to the 67th position in the global rankings.
On the continental scale, Togo is positioned at 14th place, trailing behind Cape Verde, Libya, and Sierra Leone at 13th, 12th, and 11th places, respectively. Despite its elimination in the quarter-finals, Ivory Coast maintains its position as the top-ranked team in Africa. Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, and Algeria complete the top five positions in Africa.
At the global level, Spain continues to dominate the world rankings, closely followed by Germany and Argentina.
