In the latest FIFA ranking released in April 2014, Senegal’s position remained unchanged compared to the previous month. The team, led by Demba Bâ, maintained its 63rd position globally and 13th in Africa. However, they still lag behind their upcoming opponents in the CAN 2015 qualifiers, Tunisia and Egypt.
Tunisia’s national team, known as the Eagles of Carthage, holds the 7th position in Africa, while Egypt ranks 2nd on the continent, just behind Ivory Coast, who leads the African rankings and is placed 21st globally.
The next FIFA ranking update is scheduled for June 8, shortly before the commencement of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
