The latest FIFA rankings, released this Thursday, confirm that Côte d’Ivoire holds the top spot in Africa. Despite losing one place globally and now standing at 19th, the Elephants continue to lead the African rankings. Ghana secures its second position with 815 points and is ranked 24th globally. Following closely are Algeria (28th) and Cape Verde (31st). Nigeria completes the top five in Africa and is positioned at 37th in the world.
Egypt, qualified for the World Cup playoffs, holds the 7th spot in Africa and 49th globally, followed by Burkina Faso (50th). Tunisia, although eliminated from the playoffs, precedes Cameroon, completing the African Top 10.
Senegal, one of the two teams qualified for the World Cup qualifiers not featured in the Top 10, is ranked 11th in Africa and 66th globally. Ethiopia holds the 25th position in Africa.
