After receiving authorization from FIFA in January, Kosovo is set to play its inaugural international friendly match recognized by the world body. The small Balkan nation will take on Haiti this Wednesday.
This historic match became possible due to the efforts of President Fadil Vokri.
Despite not being affiliated with FIFA, Kosovo has previously participated in unofficial friendlies against Monaco and Malta.
Fans will have the chance to witness the talents of Kosovo’s players, including goalkeeper Samir Ujkani and midfielder Perparim Hetemaj, both of whom play for Chievo Verona.
