12 Moroccan football clubs, including 8 from the first division and 4 from the second division, are facing a transfer ban imposed by FIFA due to unresolved disputes.
The top-tier clubs affected by the ban include Widad Athletic Club, Chabab Mohammedia, Raja Club Athletic, Olympic Safi, Mouloudia Oujda, Maghreb Fez, Union Tangier, and Hassania Agadir.
In addition, the second-division teams under the ban are Racing Oued Zem, Raja Beni Mellal, Chabab Ksibt Tadla, and Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi.
These clubs are obligated to settle the financial disputes with their former players and coaches to be eligible to make new signings in the current winter transfer window.
FIFA’s decision underscores the importance of fair and just dealings within football clubs, emphasizing financial responsibilities towards players and coaching staff.
The ban serves as a reminder of the consequences that unresolved conflicts can have on the ability of clubs to conduct transfer activities, affecting their competitiveness in the ongoing season.
