The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has officially approved the nationality change for Noah Sadiki, allowing him to represent the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in international competitions. This decision, which comes after several months of anticipation, clears the way for Sadiki, who plays for Union Saint-Gilloise, to join the DRC national team.

Previously, Sadiki was unable to make his debut with the Leopards last June due to pending eligibility issues.

However, with FIFA’s recent validation, the 24-year-old midfielder is now eligible to don the Congolese national team jersey starting from the upcoming international break in September.

Despite being part of the DRC’s recent squad, Sadiki was not permitted to participate in matches because his eligibility had not yet been confirmed.

His previous experience includes two appearances with the DRC U20s, showcasing his potential and commitment to his ancestral nation.

The approval of Sadiki’s nationality change is a significant boost for the DRC national team.

The talented midfielder, born in Brussels, will now be able to contribute to the senior squad under coach Sébastien Desabre.

His addition to the team is anticipated to enhance the midfield options for the Leopards as they prepare for future fixtures.

This development is particularly welcome for Congolese football, which has been eagerly awaiting the official confirmation.

Sadiki’s inclusion is expected to bring new energy and talent to the team, aligning with the strategic goals of the DRC football federation.

With FIFA’s endorsement, Sadiki will now aim to secure a spot in Desabre’s squad and make a meaningful impact for the Leopards in their forthcoming international matches.
